Collection: Apatite
"Apatite" is a field term for unidentified calcium phosphate members of the apatite group. The name Apatite derives from Greek meaning "I am misleading", because it's easily confused with other minerals and has a wide variety of color.
Most "apatite" is fluorapatite, whereas hydroxylapatite is much less common and chlorapatite is very rare.
